I am writing to thank you for the high quality service my family received before, during and after our recent move from Florida to Rutland. We were greatly pressed for time to move my late mother’s possessions out of her apartment, and into the home of one of her children. We had a pressing move-out deadline that had to be met. Our limited experience in the moving business taught us that among the many high quality firms in the business such as yours, there were also some firms that took advantage of inexperienced consumers like us. We were anxious to say the least. We had good experiences with Todd Transportation in 2003, when we did a light move within Rutland City. So we called you when we were one step short of a crisis and asked how you could help us and how we do this. We were the ultimate uneducated consumers, concerned about costs, anxious about procedures, and we felt like we faced a logistical nightmare. As local businesspersons who rely on the shop local concept, it made good sense to put our trust in the Rutland firm that had done a good job for us previously. You did everything we asked, everything we needed, and more. You made extra efforts to get us ball-park price estimates even before you saw the items to be moved. You contacted the 3rd parties who needed to be contacted, and gave us answers we were comfortable with. And you repeatedly assured us it was all going to work. The job was well done, from start to finish. The timing and execution were perfect, the final costs a pleasant surprise, and the human contacts were all positive. I just wanted to write a short note telling you how much I appreciated your team's and Todd's help with the very complicated move of our household items to Germany. The personal inspection of the goods still located in a neighbor's house, the attention of detail that spotted my errors on a manifest intended for German customs before they were an issue, the close liasion with your Corporate office and the forwarder in Germany - all of this proved invaluable. The fact that I did not have to come back to the U.S. to make all this happen - that you and your company made it happen is such a professional way - that is truly a thing that you should be proud of.
